This was painted Pollock style on a huge piece of paper on the floor and using large DIY decorating sized brushes. No brief except to feel free and enjoy the mark-making which I definitely did.I am a big fan of Jackson POLLOCK and also love calligraphy so do fee these influences have fed in here plus enjoy my music in a minor key hence the cool blues and mauves perhaps.
About Maxie Absell
After completing a Foundation Course in Art and Design at Northbrook College I studied Painting on the Fine Art B.A. Hons Degree course at Chichester University and further study in the techniques and practice of watercolours have followed since then. B.A. degree in Humanities with the OU gave me a major in Modern Art History and Practices which has helped to inform my work ever since.
